Gotz Doll by American DollHouses
Gotz Doll® was found in 1950 by Marianne and Franz Gotz. The first dolls were made of paper Mache and 1957 they launched their first vinyl doll series. They carry multiple lines of dolls, including hand-made originals to mass produced dolls. Pottery Barn stores recently started carrying an 18” series doll by Gotz.
Mom opinion: The Gotz doll has a softer face and styling similar to American Girl. They are slightly less expensive than American Girl Dolls. You should note the torso of the body is ever so slightly wider than an American Girl doll, so some AG clothes may fit a little snug if your daughter is mixing wardrobes. This is a nice doll, I am undecided about the hair but she is very pretty.
